I've had my Bowflex for many years now. Everytime I get a little carried away, I turn to it to get me back on track and it never lets me down.(I exercise only "when needed!") It works just as good as the day I got it & still giving results. Recently I lost all 35 pounds of pregnancy weight in just three months by using it 1/2hr a day, 3 days a week. I couldn't be happier and I think I look great!

[...] When it arrived, I put it together the same evening. Very good instructions. I began my first workout that same evening and the impression I had was that it was great, the constant tension was much different from the free weights I am used to. The downfall is that I don't see it as something that is suitable for someone who works out on a regular basis. It's fairly limited and i've maxed out on the weight already, with no upgrade options. So, I guess upgrading to a more advanced Bowflex, or just doing circuit training is in the future for me. Oh i'm a woman by the way,so if you're a fit guy, this will definately not work well for you.

Comments about Bowflex Classic Home Gym:
Since I got the bowflex I've been working out non stop. It is so easy to make a schedule when you know your presonal trainer is waiting in the basement ! I usually do a 30min work out before work and 60min on days off.
I've seen results in the first 6weeks but working out more than the 20min 3x week.
Working out with this bowflx combined with a god diet = real noticable results !
Thank you Bowflex

Comments about Bowflex Classic Home Gym:
The Bowflex Classic is a great value! With a little imagination and a little experience with the unit a person can certainly do way more exercises than advertised. It's worth taking the time to organize your workout plan so that changing power rods is at a minimum, making your workout speedier. I added the lat bar and tricep rope for even more variety and both work well. The only downside is the leg workouts are on the light side due to the restriction on the power rods, with no add on rods available for this unit. Overall, a great product!!

Comments about Bowflex Classic Home Gym:
I was a heavy free weight lifter for years following in my dad's footsteps. After reaching the age of 48,I began developing constant joint pain and back problems from years of free weights. Getting to the gym also became difficult with work schedules. Having a Bowflex at home allowed me flexible workout times. Convenience and low impact was the key to my buying a Bowflex.

Comments about Bowflex Classic Home Gym:
I am following the body building program in the Bowflex manual. Excellent! At age 50 decided to train for toning purposes only, now at 61 body building - the results with the Bowflex are amazing. The program calls for workouts six out of seven days not exceeding 45 minutes to an hour each day. I am so pleased with the product will probably upgrade in the near future.

Q:
I have been studying the photos of this system and can't see how a leg press would be done. The ability to do leg presses is extremely important and I don't want to purchase it if they can't be done. Has anyone done the leg press on this machine? How do you do it?Asked on 7/9/2011 by Feby from Astoria, OR1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The leg press is illustrated and described on page 29 of the owner's manual:

Q:
I'm 6'8" and have a decent wing span. Will this or any Bowflex product work for me? Or is there a "reach limit" with the rods?Asked on 4/1/2011 by Mike from Wisconsin1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Our general guidelines regarding height: our home gyms are designed to accommodate the widest range of users possible, generally between 4’10” and 6’4” in height (this assumes an average torso-to-leg length ratio). Since not everyone is proportioned the same, some users at the limits of this height range may have difficulty performing some exercises.
At 6'8" you are likely to have difficulty with some exercises. Your best best would be the Ultimate 2 or Xtreme 2 SE models where there is more cable travel to work with. Still, some exercises (the lat pulldown in particular) could be problematic for you.
Keep in mind that your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you're not 100% satisfied with your purchase you can return it for a full refund, less shipping and handling.Answered on 4/4/2011 by RC from Nautilus WHQ, Vancouver, WA

Q:
Can a lat bar be used with the classic or is one included ?Asked on 3/22/2011 by Goose from Indiana1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
A lat bar is not included with the Classic and it is not recommended because the machine doesn't have hooks to support it. It does come with hand grips that allow you to do various lat pulls. See the Ultimate 2, Xtreme 2 SE and Xtreme SE for machines that include a lat bar.Answered on 3/24/2011 by RC from Nautilus WHQ, Vancouver, WA
