What an amazing machine! I am a permanently disabled combat veteran with multiple injuries throughout my entire body. My body weight was getting out of control and my muscle build was deteriorating at an alarming rate. Between all the medications and the constant pain, I was spiraling down the rabbit hole. I got myself together and made a pact with my wife to not "give up" on our bodies just yet. I'm glad to say it's working! My weight is going down and my muscle structure is coming back to the form it was before I was injured! My wife is looking incredible and is now wearing clothes she hasn't worn in 7 years! My son is now joining in for a piece of the action as he is aspiring to be a soldier later this year. Thank you bowflex, they told me I was permanently disabled, you helped me become Enabled!

I wish I would have waited and gotten the Revolution Gym. I didn't realize how much space this really was going to take up. The constant changing of removing the seat or changing postitions of hand grips or the tension clamps between excercises gets annoying.

I use this gym 3 days on 1 day off. I do feel a slight difference so I am not entirely dissatisfied with it. I bought it for my son and he likes it. I am going to purchase more tension rods to see if that helps more with the workout feel.

Comments about Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym:

I had a Powertech home gym for 11 years but my wife wanted to start working out with me. I needed something that would not be a hassle changing weights and yet provide good resistance. Due to the range of motion you can really target muscle groups in ways you can't do safely with free weights. I use to power lift competitively for years and I'm honestly pleased with the transition to a cable and pulley system.

While the setup is not difficult it is slightly time consuming due to things being in various boxes. Also, the pictures are mostly clear but I did have to undo something and switch the pulleys around as what I thought was 6 was actually 9. Overall, I'm very pleased and at 46 it's the first time in over 10 years I can work out without the use of elbow sleeves and have zero pain in my joints.

Comments about Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym:

          - as a person with multiple injuries, I needed something that would give me the best options to work through my weaknesses and help rebuild.
          - I love how this system works your isolator muscles and gives you muscle stability- can't do that on most machines.
          - no plates to have to lift or worry about shifting, with a severely degenerative back, I am able to operate and excel through workouts. The multiple position settings help me work through weaknesses without over doing it and reinjury.
          - the only failings I have found is the abdominal attachment, it supplies zero resistance for muscle building.
          - I used to be the "gym guy" so, I know when a system works or not and the quality level.

Comments about Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym:

I have a 9 month old and just recently purchased a home, so unfortunately finding time to go the gym is hard when you are chasing a little one one around and and making repairs. This was great a great purchase for me. Instead of spending 30 min driving to a gym, it takes me 30 second, because my Bowflex is right there.

The Bowflex is great! At first when I was building it I wasn't sure how is was gonna work. I was very pleased once it was all set up. There are so many exercises that I can do with this, not including the ones recommended for it. The bowflex is also very effective if you are short on time to workout. Changing the set up and weights are an easy process making it fast to get as many reps in a short time

Overall this is a great product and I have been seeing results since purchased

Comments about Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym:

After only using the gym a few times, I find myself hooked on it. It gives a great workout with lots of exercises. I especially like the great variety of arm, chest, and shoulder exercises. Although, there are a multitude of leg exercises, they are not as easy to undertake due to the cumbersome nature of the ankle straps. That being said, the leg exercises do work, but they come in second to the upper body routines.

Comments about Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym:

I owned a bowflex about 15 years ago, power pro or something like that. It had the long seat for rowing and no overhead pulleys. I loved that machine but had to give it up to clear out a bedroom. Fast forward to me at age 58, 60 lbs overweight and in terrible shape. The Extreme SE 2 is a great machine and works out everything that I need to work out. It is so much easier to use than the old one (that I gave to my son who still uses it). I work out 3 days a week and after only 3 weeks I can already feel my core and arms getting stronger. Thank you Bowflex, by the time I reach 60 my goal is to be healthier and in better shape than I was at 40, with your help I'll get there for sure!

Others have asked similar questions - perhaps an "upgrade kit" would be a great product to market rather than forcing customers to live with the old product or spend another $1500.

Hi Jon. Unless you have a Power Pro, we don't replace the Power Rods for wear and tear. Please call Customer Care and we can determine which gym you own. Our number is 800-605-3369 and our hours of operation are Mon - Fri, 6 am to 5 pm, PST and Saturdays from 7 am to 12 pm, PST. Thank you.

Over the years, my husband and I have owned two of the old style sliding seat Bowflexes and use for strength and flexibility.

We are thinking it is time to look around for an upgrade. However, it appears the product has really changed from what we are used to using. It looks like you can no longer do the rowing exercises on the sliding seat. Is this true? Is there a video demonstrating this product?

Also, is the lat tower included in the price? Is the leg extension additional?

I have the Bowflew Xtreme SE, after looking at the Xtreme 2 version the only differance that I see is the pulley system . Can these addition pulleys be put on the early version and if so what are the cable lengths.
                Thanks
