Comments about Bowflex Power Rod 100 lb. Upgrade - 210 to 310 lbs.:

This is a great upgrade. Some exercises , I was repping with 210lbs for 20 reps at a time , so this helped keep things challenging. I'm getting ready to purchase the 410 upgrade. I can't wait!

        A:

Hello Jay. The PR1000 home gym was designed and rated only for use with the 210 lb of resistance that comes standard on this unit. There are no upgrade options for the PR1000.

If I want to upgrade to 410 resistance,do I need to purchase both the 310 and 410 rods? This is very confusing.

        A:

The 410# upgrade comes with a clip to add the extra 2 power rods. The gym already has slots to upgrade to 310# of resistance.

    • Q:

I have a PR3000 and have ordered the upgrade but now need more resistance. Can you replace existing rods with a higher strength weight. My machine came with the 210 lb rods and I have attached the 100lb upgrade but don't see another spot to attach another upgrade. So that's why I was wondering if you can replace lower resistance rods with higher strength ones.

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

Hi Scott, you can order a 410# upgrade and it will come with an attachment to add the extra power rods. You won't be able to put bigger size power rods in the existing box because they are different circumferences. For instance a 50# rod would not fit into a 5# rod slot. Thank you.

        A:

Hi Ed. The only power rod upgrade that is still compatible with the XLT (aka Power Pro) is the 210-310 lb power rod upgrade. The 310-410 lb rod upgrade is no longer available on the Power Pro.

    • Q:

Im upgrading my old powerpro to the xtreme 2se. Can I just use the 200 lbs of power rods from that unit (4) 50lb rods to upgrade the xtreme 2 se,to 410? If not what will I need to install the upgrade using RoDs that I already own?
      Thanks
      Asked on 11/27/2014 by Bob

      1 answer

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

Hi Bob! You can use the old 50# rods from your Power Pro to upgrade to 310# of resistance, but to increase to 410# you will need to order new 50# rods. The 410# upgrade comes with a special block that attaches to the existing rod box so that you can add the extra rods. The cost is $99 US plus tax and shipping.
