This product is very easy to use. You simply snap your rods into them when you are done working out and it will keep them strait so they are good to go for the next session.

It does what it is designed to do, but to be honest, it sould be much better. The unit is flexible when there is no need for it. The plastic is rather thin and it actually bends when you remove the larger rods. I am fearful that it will break after prolonged use, but is holding up fine for now and will surely last if you are completely careful each time you use it. If you buy/have additional 50lb rods then they will come with their own, two rod Rejuvenator. This is a hassle as you can have up to three parts just to do one task!

In the end it will keep your rods strait and isnt hard to use.

Very flawed product

Pros

  • Holds Rods In Place
  • Looks Neat
  • Prevents Bent Rods

Cons

  • Easy To Scrape Knuckles
  • Rods Held Too Firmly

Best Uses

Comments about Bowflex Power Rod Rejuvenator:

It should be simple to make a product that neatly organizes the Extreme 2's rods, looks great, and is simple to operate. Unfortunately, Bowflex nailed only 2 out of 3: the most important one (being simple to operate) is a swing and a miss. Sure, this colorful little gizmo looks great and does a nice job of organizing and rejuvenating the rods after a workout. But after a month of using it, it never got any easier to remove the rods (particularly the bigger ones) from the jaws of the holder. I can't tell you how many times I've scraped my knuckles fighting with this thing. The bottom line: I've gone back to the handy little piece of velcro that came with the Extreme. It doesn't look as slick, but it sure is easier and less painful to use.

Comments about Bowflex Power Rod Rejuvenator:

I read other reviews that warned this item broke but bought it anyway, knowing I would need to be careful. But this item is already cracking after two weeks of careful use. Clearly the material is not strong or flexible enough to hold up to repeated use. The force needed to remove the rods exceeds the strenght of the material and design of the product. They should have just made the webbing between the rod sockets stronger

It worked as it was designed until it broke. I won't buy it again unless they make it from a more durable material.

Comments about Bowflex Power Rod Rejuvenator:

I moved and accidentally left my power rods loaded. My power rods were then bent and hitting my bowflex on every bend, it was frustrating and ruining my workouts. I searched everywhere before I found out about the rejuvenator, and now that I have it, it is like I bought new power rods. Amazing product, I have recommended it and bought it for my friends also. I am not sure why none of the companies around town that sold the Bowflex knew about this product, but it is a diamond in the rough. Some of my friends were using belts to tie the sides together, but this is a very professional looking piece and works amazing!

Hi Sean! While there have been no design changes or upgrades per se to the Bowflex Power Rod Rejuvenator, it is made of a high-quality plastic that helps maintain the life of your power rods and is easy to use.

My power rods are bent and actually hit the machine during use. Will the rod rejuvenator help to fix this or is it just prevenitive?

                • CUSTOMER CARE

                  A:

We suggest using the Rod Rejuvenator and the rod binding strap together to get the rods as close to vertical as possible, for as long a period as possible (while not in use). Generally they should be able to be coaxed back to mostly straight even if they have been very bent for a long time

              • Q:

Where is the best placement for the rejuvenator when the rods are not in use. Should I be concerned about how I place the rods in each slot?

              • Q:

Would it be permissible to turn the block of power rods around (i.e. swap ends the small and large rods are facing) to bend them the opposite direction when they seem to be losing strength?
Asked on 2/3/2011 by Larry from Idaho

                1 answer

                • CUSTOMER CARE

                  A:

Do not turn the rod box around, the machines have not been tested in this configuration and it is not recommended. It would be considered modifying the machine, which will void the warranty. Additionally, the rods would rotate in the housing and would not bend in the opposite direction as described. Using the rod rejuvenator after every workout is the best way to maintain the rods.
